Filomena Ferrer and the Sacred Heart of Jesus
A legacy of faith and devotion

Sister Filomena Ferrer Galcerán was born in 1841 in Mora de Ebro (Tarragona, Spain). She died in 1868 in Valls (Tarragona). She was a great confidante and apostle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was declared Venerable.
Life
At the age of 13, she experienced an ecstasy in which she greatly savored the great beauty of the mystery of the Immaculate Conception, which led her to take a vow of virginity.
At nineteen she entered the monastery of the Immaculate Conception of the Minimal Nuns of Valls.
She was a deeply Marian soul: from my childhood, “what most burned in my heart was a tender devotion to my sweetest Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary.” Every day, she tried to pray the entire Holy Rosary. Her Marian devotion led her to vow to always do what was most perfect.
She was a great mystic. The Lord, to make her faithful, gave her the wedding ring of faith. Saint Joseph, to make her angelic, gave her the veil of purity. God imprinted his divine will on her soul, thus uniting both wills, which is a foretaste of heaven. The darts of love ignited her even more in love for the Beloved, Jesus. She flew toward Trinitarian mysticism, the summit of contemplation.
She was very apostolic, mortifying herself greatly for souls. She was an extraordinarily penitent soul. Her vocation was to be a victim for the Church. Her ideal was to be a perfect embodiment of Christ crucified.
Relationship with the Sacred Heart
She was a devotee, confidant, and messenger of the Sacred Heart. She tirelessly promoted its devotion. Through her, the Sacred Heart reiterated the message it had previously given to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque.
She had a vision of the triangle of stars, formed by the Sacred Heart, the Immaculate Conception, and Saint Michael. The Sacred Heart, in the Immaculate Conception and Saint Michael, finds solace, love, and adoration. It is very helpful to be devoted to these three stars, who so greatly seek to help humanity.
The thorns of the Sacred Heart are the sins of men. These thorns led Sister Filomena to compassion, atonement, and reparation. The great suffering Jesus Christ suffered in Gethsemane led her to adore the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus. She was a victim of love for that Sacred Heart.
He emphasized that devotion to the Merciful Heart does much good. He invited us to enter into the Heart of Jesus, the source of charity, grace, peace, and salvation.
He established the first Fridays of the month as a religious observance in his community. He sought the consecration of individuals, families, nations, etc., to the Sacred Heart.
She was given the mission of founding a monastery of reformed Minimal nuns and an expiatory temple to the Sacred Heart in Mora de Ebro. Both foundations were preceded by the death of the young Sister Filomena. This expiatory temple predates that of Tibidabo (Barcelona, Spain) and that of Cerro de los Ángeles (Madrid, Spain). The expiatory temple of Mora de Ebro was entrusted to the Minimal nuns. The mission of this temple will be to be a nuclear powerhouse of spiritual energy from the Sacred Heart.
