November: Pope to make the announced trip to the Kingdom of Bahrain
East and West Forum for Human Coexistence
Accepting the invitation of the civil and ecclesial authorities, Pope Francis will make the announced Apostolic Journey to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 3 to 6 November this year. The occasion will be the Bahrain Forum for Dialogue: East and West for Human Coexistence. He will be the first Pontiff to visit the Persian Gulf country.
He will visit the cities of Manama and Awali where the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, patroness of the Persian Gulf, was consecrated on 10 December 2021.
Details of the apostolic journey – during which Francis will return to the Arabian Peninsula, where he signed the Document on Human Brotherhood in Abu Dhabi in February 2019 – will be announced later.
