The ethical impact of AI in biomedicine and society
Experts will debate in Valencia
The emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in areas such as research, data management, production processes, and biomedical procedures is rapidly transforming our environment. While it opens up unprecedented opportunities, it also poses significant ethical challenges that must be rigorously and carefully analyzed to ensure that its application does not compromise the safety, truthfulness, health, or dignity of individuals.
To address these issues from a bioethical and scientific perspective, the Bioethics Observatory of the Catholic University of Valencia is organizing the conference “Humanity and Algorithms: Bioethical Reflections on AI” on July 10, 2025. It will feature a distinguished group of researchers specializing in AI and ethics. The event will provide a space for reflection and dialogue on the challenges posed by this technology and the keys to its responsible application that respects fundamental rights.
The event is open to researchers, teachers, students, and anyone interested in bioethics and the ethical development of artificial intelligence. Admission is free; however, advance registration is recommended to ensure capacity is limited.
