Experts will discuss the ethical impact of AI in biomedicine and society in Valencia
Humanity and Algorithms: Bioethics and the Challenges of AI in Health and Beyond

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in areas such as research, data management, production processes, and biomedical procedures is rapidly transforming our environment. While it opens up unprecedented opportunities, it also poses important ethical challenges that must be rigorously and carefully analyzed to ensure that its application does not compromise the safety, veracity, health, or dignity of individuals.
With the aim of addressing these issues from a bioethical and scientific perspective, the Bioethics Observatory of the Catholic University of Valencia is organizing the conference “Humanity and Algorithms: Bioethical Reflections on AI” on July 10, 2025, with the participation of a leading group of expert researchers in AI and ethics. The meeting will offer a space for reflection and dialogue on the challenges posed by this technology and the keys to its responsible application that respects fundamental rights.
The event is open to researchers, professors, students, and all those interested in bioethics and the ethical development of artificial intelligence. Admission is free, although advance registration is recommended to limit capacity.
