Lent: Spiritual exercises in communion with the Pope from March 9
The meditations will take place in the Paul VI Hall by Father Roberto Pasolini, preacher of the Papal Household, until March 14

In spiritual communion with the Pope, hospitalized in the Gemelli Polyclinic since February 14, the spiritual exercises of the Roman Curia will begin on March 9, the first Sunday of Lent, at 5 p.m., in the Paul VI Hall, and will end on March 14. The meditations, reports the Holy See Press Office, will be proposed by Father Roberto Pasolini, preacher of the Papal Household, on the theme “The hope of eternal life” and will take place, from Monday 10 to Thursday 13 March, from 9 a.m. (half-hour) and at 5 p.m. (vespers), and on Friday, 14 March at 9 a.m.
The Resurrection, hope and consolation
The Resurrection of Christ, the promise of eternal life for all, is the hope, essence, and summit of the Christian faith proclaimed by the Council of Nicaea, which “has been for centuries a source of consolation and guidance for humanity, illuminating the ultimate meaning of existence,” says the invitation from the Prefecture of the Papal Household addressed, it is specified, to cardinals, archbishops, bishops, members of the papal family, ecclesiastics and lay people, employees of the Roman Curia, the Governorate, knights of the Pontiff, staff of the antechamber “and all those who wish to attend.”
