Pope at Gemelli Hospital: Peaceful Night
Update, March 12: His clinical condition remains stable, with slight improvements in a condition that remains complex. Yesterday, he followed the Roman Curia's Spiritual Exercises in the Paul VI Hall via videoconference, dedicated himself to prayer, and received the Eucharist. He also continued with therapies and high-flow oxygenation throughout the day

“The Pope spent a peaceful night,” the Holy See Press Office reported this morning, March 12, in its update on the Pontiff, who has been hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome since February 14.
Yesterday afternoon, regarding the Pope’s clinical condition, the Vatican Press Office explained that doctors confirmed slight improvements in a condition that remains complex. Due to the stability of the condition, no medical bulletin has been issued. Both morning and afternoon, Francis followed the Spiritual Exercises of the Roman Curia in the Paul VI Auditorium, devoting himself to prayer and meditation, as required by the time of recollection, and for this reason, he did not receive visitors. He also received the Eucharist.
He continued with the prescribed therapies and continued high-flow oxygenation with the use of nasal prongs. Today, March 12, further information is expected from the doctors who announced the prognosis on Monday, March 10, considering, however, that the clinical picture is still complex. The text of the catechesis for the general audience will not be published today, as it is not scheduled due to the Spiritual Exercises.
