New cardinals for 30 September

At the end of the Angelus, Pope Francis announced the Consistory for the creation of 21 new cardinals

After the Angelus prayer, Pope Francis announced that a Consistory for the creation of new cardinals would be held in September, the ninth of his Pontificate. The first was on 22 February 2014, followed by those of 14 February 2015; 19 November 2016; 28 June 2017; 28 June 2018; 05 October 2019; 28 November 2020; 27 August 2022.

Here are the names of the new Cardinals:

Let us pray for the new Cardinals, so that, confirming their adhesion to Christ, the merciful and faithful High Priest (cf. Heb 2:17), they might help me in my ministry as Bishop of Rome for the good of the entire Holy People faithful to God.
