«Woman, Family and Society: Exploring Paths of Transformation»

The Academy of Catholic Leaders announces the third international seminar on Women: From March 9 to 30

Following the resounding success of the first international meeting of Catholic Women Leaders held earlier this year, the International Academy of Catholic Leaders, in collaboration with the International Network of Catholic Women Leaders, the International Federation of Catholic Universities and the Catholic University Foundation of the South of Colombia, present the III International Women’s Seminar: “Woman, Family and Society: Exploring Paths of Transformation.” This event’s main objective is to examine the various aspects that women face in the current context, while exploring concrete paths for social transformation and the construction of a more just and equal future.

José Antonio Rosas, general director of the Academy of Catholic Leaders, expressed his enthusiasm for the prominent role that the women’s network has played in promoting these meetings: “The creation of the Network has been a key driver for our Academy, promoting the crucial role of women both in the Church and in society. We are pleasantly pleased to see how this initiative led by women is setting the tone towards a new feminism that seeks to generate tangible changes and raise awareness in society.”

For her part, Sofía Mejide, executive secretary of the network, emphasized the importance of this third edition: “In this third seminar, our objective is to offer concrete solutions to the challenges that women face today. We will address crucial issues such as women in the family and society, exploring new perspectives in areas such as migration, abortion, violence and leadership. In addition, we will have inspiring testimonies from outstanding women in fields such as health and entrepreneurship, areas that are becoming increasingly relevant in our times”
