Pope will preside over two celebrations in November

The Master of Papal Liturgical Celebrations, Archbishop Diego Ravelli, Titular Archbishop of Recanati, has published the calendar of celebrations to be presided over by Pope Francis in November 2023.

Pope Francis will preside over two celebrations in November 2023: a Mass in suffrage of the late Pope Benedict XVI, cardinals and bishops who died during the year, and another Mass on the occasion of the World Day of the Poor.

Suffrage Mass:
Date: 3 November
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Place: Altar of the Cathedra, St. Peter’s Basilica
Reason: To remember the late Pope Benedict XVI and the cardinals and bishops who died during the year.

 


Mass for the World Day of the Poor:
Date: 19 November
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Place: St. Peter’s Basilica
Reason: To celebrate the World Day of the Poor, which is celebrated on 19 November each year.

These celebrations are an opportunity for the faithful to join Pope Francis in prayer and reflection.

The Mass of Suffrage is one and the Mass for the World Day of the Poor is one.
